Corey Walter

Corey played baseball at Wheeling Park High School for Coach Chad Stout.  His Patriot career was highlighted by being named the OVAC 4A Player of the Year his senior year as well as earning first team All-Valley and first team All-State that same year.  He went on to pitch for West Virginia University and was drafted by the Oakland A’s in the 28th round of the 2014 MLB draft.

 

Heath Haynes

Heath played baseball at The Linsly School for Coach Gary Sprague. He was signed as an undrafted free agent in 1991 by the Montreal Expos as a Pitcher. Haynes played a total of 9 seasons in the MLB, 8 of which were in the Minor Leagues. Haynes finished his career with a 41-11 record with a 2.66 ERA. He appeared in 282 games, 403.1 IP and tallied 463 strikeouts.

 

MICHAEL GROVE

Michael played baseball at Wheeling Park High School for Coach Mike McLeod. At The Park, he was named first team All-State and first team All-OVAC during both his Junior and Senior campaigns. Grove continued his career at West Virginia University where he was named the National Player of the Week and All-Big 12 second team during his Sophomore year. The right handed pitcher has been clocked at 95 mph with his fastball which helped land him as the 68th pick of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He is currently playing for the Los Angeles AA affiliate, the Tulsa Drillers.
